Wow! On Forbes! Women in Sake Article
Nov 07, 2025
Wow! Whaaaat?! I’m on Forbes 😳So thrilled to be featured together with Rumiko Obata and Fumiko Shintani. 🍶Grateful to the amazing Margarita Gokun Silver for spotlighting 🇯🇵Japanese women and 🍶Sake, and for sharing our story. 💫

🇯🇵 Even in 2025, the #gender gap is so real in Japan. Despite many people’s image of Japan being a modern, ‘advanced’ country, if we look at gender equality, we’re ranked sadly so low: 118th out of 146 countries 😳 Like - as of this year. Shocking! (Stats: World Economic Forum: Global Gender Gap Report 2025).

But now, I’m channelling that same mission through my favourite 🍶Sake (& my 100% natural Sake-infused brand)😘
And these amazing Sake women like Rumiko and Fumiko have been absolutely inspiring! (There are many more too😍)
