Ciao! I'm Sarika
I never actually liked Sake growing up, even though my ancestral home is in the heartland of Sake. The Sake my grandpa drank back then? Let’s just say… it wasn’t exactly fabulous!
My career began at the United Nations, working in Gender Equality and Urban Development across Kenya, Thailand, and Vietnam. But one unexpected encounter with Sake changed everything. What started as curiosity soon became a calling.
Today, I’m on a mission to share the beauty of this 2,000-year-old craft with the world, a craft that is sadly in decline. I’m a certified Sake Scholar, Sake Competition Judge, and Master Sommelier of Sake. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of teaching Ambassadors, Royals, and institutions like MIT, Harvard, and even the Vodka Museum. My Sake courses are sold by Japan’s prestigious Sake education authority in Tokyo, and I also founded a Sake-infused natural cosmetics brand to share its beauty in a whole new way, beyond the glass.
For me, Sake is about so much more than a drink. It’s about slowing down, connecting deeply with culture, and infusing everyday life with elegance and meaning. From mindful sipping to centuries-old beauty rituals, it’s my absolute joy and honour to guide you in experiencing Sake in a way that feels soulful, enriching, and uniquely yours.
